Gibson Mechanical Design is a specialist design, engineering and drafting firm located in Brisbane Queensland. For over 20 years, we have provided comprehensive brown field support for the growing needs of Australia’s mining, industrial and infrastructure operators.
As an engineering and design firm, GMD works in a diverse spectrum of engineering areas, though we mainly specialise in the structural and mechanical disciplines. Our origins are in machinery and equipment for the manufacturing and mining industries.

Our Team
The GMD team consists of a core staff of qualified engineers and draftsmen, including our Director, Tony Gibson, who has spent more than 20 years in the industry working both client-side with BHP Engineering and as the founder of GMD.
Where necessary, we consult with a select cadre of specialist, certified partners with whom we have worked closely for many years.
