Description:  New Tripper Brief: This project was to replace the existing overhead gantry trippers with new ones. Each tripper is around 45 tonnes and has a 3 way transfer system, retractable discharge chutes, hydraulically actuated stairs, drives systems and davit crane. Our involvement was to produce a preliminary design and model of the new tripper. Design drawings were then used to do weight and strength analysis as well as interface with the equipment manufacturers.
