Brief: Our client needed to safely and efficiently transfer operational staff from a crew boat to a large jack-up barge. Our involvement was to take their initial idea and make it work. The design involved a large tower structure, and a travelling dock. The dock was fitted with a specially design descent control device that would allow rapid up travel but controlled descent. All components were design, engineered and detailed by us.
